Boney Kapoor Remembers Late Wife Sridevi On Their 27th Wedding Anniversary
To celebrate their 27th wedding anniversary, Boney posted a picture of the pair on a boat in Venice.
New Delhi: In honour of his marriage anniversary with the late actress Sridevi, producer Boney Kapoor sent a little message on social media. To celebrate their 27th wedding anniversary, Boney posted a picture of the pair on a boat in Venice. Sridevi and Boney tied the knot in June 1996. It was Boney's second marriage, while Sridevi's first. They had their first daughter Janhvi Kapoor in 1997, and their second daughter, Khushi Kapoor in 2000.
Boney posted a picture of the pair with the caption, "1996 2nd June we got married in Shirdi, today we complete 27 yrs."

After the producer posted the picture online, several of Sridevi’s admirers got emotional.
Boney also took to the Instagram story to post a throwback photo.
Earlier, Janhvi Kapoor discussed the romance of her parents in an interview with Vogue India. She said, “Mum went to Italy to shop for furniture for this home (their Chennai home), and some Italian guy hit on her. She was travelling with a friend, and was shell-shocked and exclaimed, ‘How dare he talk to me?’ As a joke, her friend told dad, who got so flustered, he left Khushi and me behind in Mumbai to fly to Italy to be with her. They ended up having a little honeymoon there.”
Sridevi appeared in more than 300 movies. She is known for her roles in films like Sadma, Chaalbaaz, Khuda Gawah, Nagina, Chandni, and Judaai. She made her acting debut in a Tamil film and afterwards moved on to Bollywood. The legacy of Sridevi continues throughout her movies.
Meanwhile, Boney Kapoor was most recently seen in the romantic comedy film ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar,’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia.
Sridevi breathed her last in 2018 due to accidental drowning in the bath tub of her hotel room. She was in Dubai to attend a family wedding.
