Akshay Kumar And Emraan Hashmi Team Up For Karan Johar's 'Selfiee'

The actors took to their respective Instagram handles on Wednesday to announce the film by posting a picture of themselves clicking a selfie.

New Delhi: Actors Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi promise a fun-filled ride with their upcoming project 'Selfiee'. The actors took to their respective Instagram handles on Wednesday to announce the film by posting a picture of themselves clicking a selfie.

Akshay posted a picture where he can be seen clicking a selfie, dressed in a quirky golden bomber jacket. He can be seen sporting cool black sunglasses. He captioned the picture as,"Kick-starting my day with a Selfiee. Because why not?"

He also posted a picture with his co-star Emraan Hashmi. Seated on their bikes, the handsome hunks seem to have their perfect selfie partners. Tagging Karan Johar, who is also one of the producers of the film, Akshay wrote,"Found myself the perfect selfie partner! Hey Karan Johar, have we slayed this selfie game or what?"

Karan Johar reacted to the post by commenting,"Absolutely! I am no match," followed with a teary-eyed emoji but in all good sense.

Emraan Hashmi also took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of himself where he can be seen clicking a selfie, dressed in a cool blue t-shirt and jeans. Emraan can be seen sporting a bearded look for his role in the movie. Taking inspiration from Akshay about beginning his day with a selfie, the actor wrote,"New look, new vibes!"

Earlier, producer of the film Karan Johar, shared the teaser of the film, where Akshay and Emraan can be seen dancing together. Sharing the teaser, Karan wrote,"Presenting Selfiee starring two absolutely smashing actors- Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi and directed by Raj Mehta. Hop into the frame and pose because shooting begins soon!"

'Selfiee' is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film 'Driving License', which stars Prithviraj and Sooraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles. Now, the two Bollywood actors will reprise their roles for the remake.

The film slated to release this year is yet to begin shooting.
