Akansha Dubey Death Case: Samar Singh Sent To 14 Days Judicial Custody In UP Jail

Prime accused, singer Samar Singh was presented in Varanasi court on Saturday.

New Delhi: Singer Samar Singh has been denied bail in the Bhojpuri actor Akansha Dubey death case. As per news agency ANI, Samar Singh has now been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Samar Singh was presented in Varanasi court on Saturday. His lawyers had earlier stated that they have full faith in the court and that it is for the court to decide what is right or wrong. Akansha Dubey's mother Madhu had accused Samar Singh for her daughter's murder.

Advocate Shashank Shekhar representing Akansha's family spoke to the media about today's proceedings in the Varanasi court where Samar Singh's bail plea was submitted. The advocate shared that his team did everything to get the bail plea rejected and that Samar Singh has now been sent to judicial custody. Samar Singh will be in judicial custody in Chaukaghat jail for the period of 15 days after which Samar's lawyers will file for another bail plea. 

 

Earlier in the day, speaking to the media, Samar's lawyers Ashish Singh and Anoop Singh had said, "Allegations can be made against anything. BUt the court will decide what is wrong and right. We have full faith in the court."

They had also spoken about filing a bail plea for Samar. " If bail is not granted by the Special Magistrate, will try for it once again in the competent court on Monday." 

On March 27, Bhojpuri actor Akansha Dubey was found dead inside a hotel room in Varanasi. A day after, police had registered a case against Bhojpuri singer Samar Singh and his brother Sanjay Singh.
