Box Office Soars as Word-of-Mouth Works Magic

The family drama, which opened to positive word-of-mouth, is already showing strong momentum at the box office. After a decent start with ₹11.7 crore on Friday, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ saw a phenomenal rise of nearly 89% on Saturday, collecting ₹20.2 crore.

Sunday’s collections remained solid, earning ₹26.45 crore and taking the film’s India net total to ₹57.35 crore. With a Hindi occupancy rate of 41.76% on Sunday, the growth reflects both the curiosity and the emotional connect viewers have formed with the story.

A Fresh Ensemble Led by a Veteran Vision

‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ introduces ten promising newcomers: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar — all of whom share the screen with Aamir Khan.

Directed by RS Prasanna, the filmmaker known for his progressive hit ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, this project marks his most significant collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions yet. The film, which is seen as a spiritual successor to ‘Taare Zameen Par’ (2007), continues the actor’s mission to tell meaningful, emotionally resonant stories.

At one of the screenings, Aamir Khan humbly deflected the applause towards the team: “The kids and RS Prasanna have worked so hard. I’m really proud of what we’ve all created.”

As excitement grows around this moving tale of dreams, struggles, and triumphs, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is proving to be more than just a film — it’s a celebration of new talent and heartfelt storytelling.
