'Power Cuts Lasting 10 Hours In UP': Kejriwal Hits Back At Yogi's 'AAP Turned Delhi Into Garbage' Remark

The attack from Kejriwal comes shortly after Yogi Adityanath, during a public rally in Delhi, attacked the state government in Delhi for the bad state of roads saying "Delhi into a garbage dump."

AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal hit out at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the electricity charges in UP. Kejriwal also questioned how many hours of electricity did UP get under the BJP's double-engine government in the state.

The attack from the AAP leader comes shortly after Yogi Adityanath, during a public rally in Delhi, attacked the state government in Delhi for the bad state of roads saying "Delhi turned into a garbage dump."

"The CM of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Ji is currently in Delhi. Today, I want to ask him something: people are saying that Delhi receives 24-hour electricity. Uttar Pradesh has a double-engine BJP government, but can Yogi Ji tell us how many hours of electricity UP gets? There are power cuts lasting 10 hours in UP," Kejriwal said while attacking CM Yogi.

"In UP, a 400-unit electricity bill comes to Rs 4000, while in Delhi, it's Rs 0. Yogi Ji, should tell whether is is true or not?" Kejriwal added.

Kejriwal said that while the families in Delhi are able to save Rs 20,000-22,000 under the AAP government, the BJP government in the state would stop free education and stop Mohalla clinics and free bus rides for women.

"Under the AAP government, a family is able to save Rs 20,000-22,000, but if you press the lotus button (BJP's symbol) then you will not be able to live in Delhi, you will have to leave Delhi, because where will you get Rs 20,000 per month from? the former Delhi CM said.

"3 days ago, BJP announced that if their government is formed in Delhi, they will stop free education in government schools. If you press the lotus button (BJP's symbol), then schools, Mohalla clinics, free bus rides for women will be stopped," he added.

CM Yogi Adityanath, who addressed his first rally in the Kirari area of Delhi, attacked the AAP government over Yamuna pollution, 'settling illegal Bangladeshis' and the poor condition of roads and sanitation.

Yogi said that the AAP government has turned Delhi into a garbage dump and attacked Kejriwal for "converting the Yamuna into a dirty drain."

"Yesterday, I along with all my ministers took a holy dip at the Sangam in Prayagraj where Maha Kumbh is on. I want to ask Kejriwal whether he can bathe in the Yamuna in Delhi along with his ministers. He should answer if he has any moral courage," Yogi said.

The UP chief minister also slammed AAP alleging poor condition of roads, insanitation, problems of drinking water and sewer overflows in the national capital. Yogi further claimed that the roads in Noida-Ghaziabad in UP are far better than in Delhi.
