'AAP Turned Delhi Into Garbage Dump, Settled Illegal Bangladeshis': Yogi Attacks Kejriwal's Party At BJP Rally
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is one of the star campaigners for the BJP, addressed his first poll rally in the Kirari constituency in Delhi.

Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in his first election rally in Delhi for the upcoming Assembly polls, came down heavily at Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP, slamming the party for turning Yamuna river into a "dirty drain", "settling" illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas, and the condition of roads and sewer system in the city.
While addressing a poll rally in the Kirari constituency, he mentioned the grand Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj and how he took a holy dip in the Sangam with his cabinet colleagues yesterday. He then went on to ask Kejriwal if he could also do the same and take a dip in the Yamuna along with the members of the Delhi Cabinet.
"Yesterday, 54 ministers along with me took a holy dip in Prayagraj's Sangam. If, as a CM, I and my ministers can bath in the sacred waters of Sangam, I want to ask AAP chief Kejriwal — can he and his ministers take a dip in the Yamuna? If he has moral courage, he should answer this. Has he committed the crime of turning the Yamuna into a dirty drain or not?” Yogi Adityanath said.

The UP CM also claimed that the polluted Yamuna from Delhi affects the people and priests in Mathura and Vrindavan as well. He said the river Ganga there turns dirty due to the polluted water from Yamuna flowing from Delhi. He also slammed the Delhi government for not supporting the cleaning of Yamuna under the Namami Gange project.
"The devotees and saints of our holy Mathura, Vrindavan also have to bear the brunt of the sins of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi...Whenever the matter of cleanliness came up under the Namami Gange project, Arvind Kejriwal and company did not cooperate," he said.
The BJP star campaigner also hit out at the AAP government over the condition of roads in Delhi saying that the roads in Noida and Ghaziabad are better than those in the national capital.
"...Today in Delhi, it is not clear whether there is a pothole on the road or the road is in the pothole. The condition of cleanliness is so pathetic, there are heaps of garbage," he said.
Accusing the AAP of cheating and lying, Yogi Adityanath said that Kejriwal cheated on his guru Anna Hazare. "Jisne anna ko dhoka diya, wo desh ko dhoka de rha hai, [He cheated on Anna, and now he is cheating on the country]," the UP CM said.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to be here with all of you in Kirari Assembly. Since I have come here for the Delhi Assembly elections, I also got a chance to observe the roads and infrastructure closely in Delhi. Just last night, I traveled from Prayagraj to Lucknow. In Uttar Pradesh, the first Maha Kumbh of this century is being organised with grandeur. Imagine, from January 13 to today, January 23, in just 10 days, 10 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in Sangam," he said.
Yogi Claims 'Bangladeshi Infiltrators Being Given Aadhaars By AAP Leaders'
Yogi Adityanath went on allege that the AAP settled Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas in Delhi who he claimed were being given Aadhaar cards through "Aadhar-making machines in AAP leaders' houses".
"These people have turned Delhi into a garbage dump. These days Arvind Kejriwal is repeatedly talking about Uttar Pradesh, but he should not forget that now people are looking at Uttar Pradesh as a model...They settled Bangladeshi infiltrators, Rohingyas here. These Bangladeshi infiltrators are being given Aadhaar cards through Aadhaar-making machines in the houses of Aam Aadmi Party leaders... Today, go and see the roads of Delhi and Noida, you will see the difference," he said.
