'Maharashtra CM Should Have Just One Qualification...': Sanjay Raut's Dig At Modi, Shah
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut claims the BJP will appoint Maharashtra's Chief Minister based on the preferences of PM Modi and Amit Shah.
Amid the speculations around who will become Maharashtra's next Chief Minister, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has made a sensational claim. Speaking to reporters on Monday, Raut stated, “The majority is so strong that they can appoint anyone as the Chief Minister. Modi and Shah will decide the Chief Minister, prioritising Gujarat’s interests. They can use the power of their majority to make anyone the CM. They have already demonstrated this in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.”
Raut slammed the BJP leadership, saying, “If Modi were a true national leader, he wouldn’t need to do such things. Nehru, Indira, and Manmohan Singh never indulged in breaking parties. Such actions are carried out by those who are weak both mentally and politically.”

The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader also revealed that they have received over 400 complaints regarding governance issues in Maharashtra and plan to discuss them in detail.
He further challenged the government to conduct Maharashtra elections using ballot papers. "If you win through ballots, we shall accept it. On ballot paper, we are leading in 145 constituencies. Maharashtra stood firmly behind a leader like Sharad Pawar. The current political chaos is the result of this opportunistic alliance, for which [Ex-CJI] Chandrachud is responsible,” he said.
The Maharashtra Assembly Election Result result was "unexpected" for both Mahayuti and the Maha Vikas Aghadi. The Mahayuti secured 236 seats while the Maha Vikas Aghadi managed to scrape 50. According to the Election Commission, the Mahayuti's voteshare was: 26.77% for the BJP, 12.38% for the Shiv Sena, and 9% for the NCP. In the MVA, the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) got 9.96% of the votes, the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) got 11.28%, and the Congress, 12.42%.
The Mahayuti leaders credited their win to the government’s flagship ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’, as well as other initiatives of the ‘double-engine ki sarkar’.
