Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: According to the latest prediction from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) appears to have the upper hand over Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Notably, at the time of writing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently trailing in the race for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in early trends. According to the initial vote count, Congress candidate Ajay Rai is ahead, having secured 6,223 votes so far.
On the other hand, in the high-stakes electoral battle of Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi of the Congress party is currently ahead, with Dinesh Pratap Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) not far behind. This constituency, traditionally a Congress stronghold, is witnessing a fierce contest.
Apart from the main contenders from the Congress and BJP, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has also entered the fray with their candidate, Thakur Prasad Yadav, aiming to make significant inroads.
As can be seen above, at the time of writing, the ECI figures show that the Samajwadi Party (SP) is leading in 33 seats, with Indian National Congress (INC) leading in 7 seats. BJP, on the other hand, is seen leading in 28 seats.

Voting in Uttar Pradesh spanned all seven phases of the election, starting from April 19 and concluding on June 1. The state’s significance in the electoral landscape is underscored by its substantial representation in the Lok Sabha, making it a key focus for both major and regional parties.
The results of the elections are scheduled to be announced on June 4, which will determine the political future of the state and, potentially, the nation.
