In many constituencies BJP and JDS have joined hands: Siddaramaiah

BJP's CM candidate BS Yeddyurappa at public rally in Mysuru yesterday "clarified" that the party will form government on its own and will not look for ally.

New Delhi: On Wednesday, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said that in many constituencies BJP and JDS have joined hands. "But they still won't be able to defeat us as the people are with us," he added, reported ANI. However, BJP's CM candidate BS Yeddyurappa at public rally in Mysuru yesterday "clarified" that the party will form government on its own and will not look for ally. "Some people say that BJP will ally with JDS, I want to clarify that we will form the government on our own," Yeddyurappa said, reported ANI. Commenting on the Congress, he said-"It will not win more than 50 seats, there is a wave of BJP in the state, we will win more than 150 seats, JDS will not win more than 25 seats." In Karnataka, polling will take place on May 12 and result will be announced on May 15. BJP is trying to arm-twist power from the ruling Congress in this South Indian state. Commenting on his chances of winning Karnataka Assembly election, state CM Siddaramaiah had recently said that he had "faith in the voters".
