Elephant Is ‘Slipping’, Cycle Can Be ‘Easily Punctured’: UP CM Adityanath Targets Samajwadi Party, BSP

Adityanath said the Bahujan Samaj Party’s elephant is “slipping here and there”, adding the Samajwadi Party’s cycle “can be easily punctured”.

New Delhi: Firing a fresh salvo at the opposition parties, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday claimed to have razed the illegal possession of mafias and corrupt politicians during his regime.

Adityanath said the Bahujan Samaj Party’s elephant is “slipping here and there”, adding the Samajwadi Party’s cycle “can be easily punctured”.

“Those who ate the poor's ration, we have bulldozers for them. Power of bulldozer is such that it’s used for construction and to raze illegal possession of mafias, corrupt ministers,” ANI quoted Adityanath as saying at a poll rally in Ambedkar Nagar.

Asserting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) believes in ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, the Chief Minister also used the occasion to lash out at dynasty politics.

“When we come back in 2024 Lok Sabha polls, most of these ‘pariwarwadis’ will be seen offering ‘Kar Seva’ with the Ram devotees in Ayodhya,” he said.

Meanwhile, all preparations are in place in Uttar Pradesh for the fifth phase of the elections on 61 assembly seats on Sunday.

Voting will take place in the state’s 12 districts, including Ayodhya, Raebareli, Amethi, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Chitrakoot, Sravasti, Bahraich, Gonda Barabanki and Sultanpur, on Sunday.

Voting for the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly is being held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7.

Earlier on Wednesday, an average voter turnout of 61.65% was recorded across 59 assembly constituencies spread over nine districts that went to polls in the fourth phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.

The counting of votes will be held on March 10.
