LS Polls: BJP MP Poonam Mahajan’s First Reaction After Replacement, Says ‘Every Moment Of My Life Will…’
The BJP replaced Poonam Mahajan with Ujjwal Nikam from the Mumbai North Central constituency.
Lok Sabha Elections: Hours after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) replaced the incumbent MP, Poonam Mahajan with Ujjwal Nikam from the Mumbai North Central constituency, she expressed gratitude towards the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the opportunity to serve Mumbai North Central Lok Sabha constituency as an MP for 10 years. Ujjwal Nikam is a renowned Special Public Prosecutor who spearheaded the legal battle in the 26/11 Mumbai Terror attack case.
In a post on X, Ponnam Mahajan, daughter of former BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, said that she will always be indebted to the people of the area for loving her not only as an MP but also like a daughter. She also said that every moment of her life will always be dedicated to the service of this country.
"Thank you @BJP4India and Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for giving me the opportunity to serve Mumbai North Central Lok Sabha Constituency as an MP for 10 years. I will always be indebted to the family-like people of the area for loving me not only as an MP but also like a daughter, and I hope that this relationship will always remain. My role model, my father Late Pramod Mahajan Ji showed me the path of 'Nation first, then us'. I pray to God that I can follow the same path throughout my life. Every moment of my life will always be dedicated to the service of this country. Hail India, Hail Maharashtra!," Poonam Mahajan said on X.

Notably, Poonam Mahajan, who entered politics after the demise of her father Pramod Mahajan in 2006, has been a prominent figure in Maharashtra's political arena. She registered victories in the Mumbai North Central constituency in both the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In 2014, Mahajan secured victory over incumbent MP Priya Dutt, daughter of the late actor and Congress leader Sunil Dutt.
