Anurag Thakur Slams Sam Pitroda, Says 'Infiltrators With Big Families' Will Benefit From 'Vasooli Tax'

Anurag Thakur today stirred up the infiltrators' remarks days after PM Modi referred to Muslims as “infiltrators” at a poll rally in Rajasthan. Read on to know more.

Union Minister and BJP leader Anurag Thakur on Wednesday slammed Sam Pitroda for his remarks over “inheritance tax law”. Thakur accused Pitroda of the alleged agenda, claiming that hard-earned money would be subjected to a “Vasooli tax” under Congress governance, benefitting their supposed vote bank, “infiltrators”,  and “those who have big families”. His remark comes days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi seemed to liken Muslims to “infiltrators” at a poll rally in Rajasthan.

“I want to say to Sam Pitroda that it is good that he has told the people of the country about Rahul Gandhi's thinking. Because Sam Pitroda ji is the mentor, guide, philosopher, and friend of Rahul Gandhi and his father,” Thakur told ANI. Adding, “Their politics, Today, has forced the entire nation to think - in which direction is Congress party heading? They talk about destroying nuclear weapons, they take protection from terror outfits, and they talk in the same language as China, and Pakistan. The nation knows everything”.

He has said that one's hard-earned money will not go to one's children. This money will be taken from people as 'Vasooli tax' and given to those who are Congress' vote bank, infiltrators, and those who have big families,” he said.

Earlier this week, PM Modi speaking at an election rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara insinuated that Congress aimed to distribute assets among those with more children and “infiltrators”.

“This 'urban Naxal' mindset, mothers and sisters, they will not even leave your 'mangalsutra'. They can go to that level... The Congress manifesto says they will calculate the gold with mothers and sisters, get information about it, and then distribute that property,” the PM said on Sunday.

“They will distribute it to whom - Manmohan Singh's government had said Muslims have the first right on the country's assets," he added.

Earlier on Tuesday, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra retaliated against the Prime Minister’s assertions regarding the Congress party’s purported intentions towards “wealth redistributions”.

“What talks are happening in this country? Two days back there were speeches that Congress wanted to snatch your 'mangalsutra'. This country has been free for the past 75 years, and 55 years Congress was in power. Did Congress ever snatch your gold or 'mangalsutra'?” Priyanka asked.

"When there was war, Indira Gandhi donated her gold. My mother’s 'mangalsutra' was sacrificed for this country," she added.

Amidst the uproar, Sam Pitroda clarified his stance on “inheritance tax”, refuting claims made by the BJP and the media. He questioned the portrayal of his remarks, saying such policies of 55% of wealth being confiscated were not suitable for India. Notably, Congress distanced itself from Pitroda’s statements, labelling them as “his personal opinion”.  Click here to read the full report.
