TISS Research Assistant Notification: Vacancy In iCALL Psychosocial Helpline; Last Date Jan 15th

New Delhi: Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has released a recruitment notification for the post of research assistant. Those interested can apply for the position till January 15, 2021. According to the official notification, a senior research assistant is needed for iCALL Psychosocial Helpline. This is a project of the School of Human Ecology at the Tata institute of Social Sciences Mumbai, which provides counselling, support, information and referral to individuals in emotional and psychological distress, over the telephone, chat and email. To qualify for the position candidates will need Master’s Degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology (MA/Msc) and at least 2-4 years of experience working in the field of mental health. Preference will be given to those who live in Mumbai. Candidates will have to send their resume to icallmptraining@gmail.com before January 15. The email should have the subject line - s ‘Application for the post of Part-Time Senior Research Officer’ only. Those who have been shortlisted will be called for an online interview. iCALL also partners with the government of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and UNFPA. Under this there are two projects that aim at strengthening capacities of counsellors working within the state’s SSK and RKSK counselling centers at Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The third project is another capacity building initiative of health staff posted at health and wellness centers on basic counselling skills, in Madhya Pradesh under the Aarogyam scheme of the Government of India. According to media reports Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) along with TISS launched 'iCall' helpline service at the M (East) municipal ward which covers Govandi, Shivaji Nagar, Mankhurd, Deonar and Anushakti Nagar.
