JEE Advanced 2021: Education Minister To Announce Dates Today At 6 PM
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' will announce the date of JEE Advanced Exam 2021 today, January 7, 2021 at 6.00 pm.
New Delhi: In a tweet on January 4th 2020, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' announced there will be a live webinar today at 6 PM on Twitter to announce the JEE Advanced exam date 2021. Along with the exam dates, the minister will also announce JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2021.
JEE Advanced Exams are the qualifying exams, usually for the top 2.5 lakh rank holders of JEE Main are supposed to appear for it as it is only exams required to get into the 23 IITs across the country. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had earlier announced the dates of JEE Main 2021 on 16 December 2020. He also announced that from the year 2021, the JEE Mains exam will be held four times a year. These four sessions will be held in February, March, April and May. According to the released notification, the first session of JEE Mains exam will be held between 23 February to 26 February 2021. Due to ongoing pandemic, educational institutes had to shut down, affecting students’ preparations as classes are now being conducted through online mode. The CBSE syllabus, as a resulted was reduced by 30 percent. Hence, students can expect a lessened eligibility criterion for admission. The current eligibility criteria, students need to score minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in Class 12 beside qualifying JEE Main to get admission in IITs. This year the JEE Main exams will be held in multiple shifts— February, March, April, and May. Candidates will be allowed to attempt all four times if they wish, with the best score being used. Pokhriyal said that pattern of the exam has also been changed to accommodate COVID-19-driven changes to the syllabus.Dear Students,
