First batch of Work Integrated B.Tech program with Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor, SSPU

Symbiosis Skills & Professional University (SSPU) has introduced its groundbreaking Work Integrated B.Tech program in Pune, aiming to cater to the needs of working professionals, particularly diploma holders, enabling them to attain their B.Tech degree within a concise three-year period.

This innovative program stands as a transformative opportunity for individuals who, owing to diverse personal and professional commitments, have faced limitations in pursuing their desired degree education. Offering a full-time degree curriculum, the program provides the flexibility of lectures, training, and practical sessions designed to suit the convenience of the candidates, as reported by PTI.

SSPU's Work Integrated B.Tech program presents two specialized tracks: B.Tech in Automobile Engineering and Advanced Mechatronics & Industrial Automation. Alongside these, the university offers an array of value-added courses that enrich the overall engineering learning experience.

Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor of SSPU, emphasized the significance of this opportunity, stating, "This initiative not only enables working professionals to upskill themselves but also paves the way for promising new career trajectories." The first batch of the Work Integrated B.Tech program, in collaboration with Sigma Engineered Solutions, a reputable Pune-based company, has commenced with 32 candidates. Students attend classes over weekends and online for select subjects.

A recent induction program took place at the university campus, marking the commencement of the inaugural Sigma cohort. Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor of the university, warmly greeted the students, who, with an average work experience of 15 years, are eager to reengage in mainstream education.
