RBSE Board Exam 2021: Rajasthan Govt Cancels Class 10, 12 Exams Due To Covid-19

RBSE Board Exam 2021 Cancelled: The Rajasthan government on Wednesday decided to cancel the Rajasthan Board class 10 and 12 examinations 2021 owing to the surge in the covid-19 cases across the state. The decision to cancel the RBSE class 10 and 12 board examination was taken after the central government on June 1 canceled the CBSE class 12 board examination 2021 in view of the covid-19 pandemic.
The state government has also issued a statement stating that the decision was taken during a review meeting of the State Council of Ministers which was chaired by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

"Medical experts have warned that children may be more prone to infection in a possible third wave of COVID-19. In such a situation, it has been decided to cancel the examinations of classes 10 and 12 conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education," reads the statement.
The decision to cancel the CBSE class 12 board examination was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

After the meeting, PM Modi on his official Twitter handle wrote, "Government of India has decided to cancel the Class 12 CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth."
