QS Executive MBA Rankings 2024: IIM Bangalore Reclaims Top Position For Studying EMBA
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has secured first place in the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2024 in India.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has achieved the top rank in India in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Executive MBA Rankings 2024, climbing to the 41st position globally. Six Indian business schools are featured in the 2024 QS rankings, with three making their debut this year. Last year, IIM Bangalore secured the 43rd spot in the rankings.
QS president and chair Nunzio Quacquarelli said: “QS is thrilled to celebrate the success of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, which has been recognised as the home of India’s best Executive MBA program. This achievement highlights India's growing prominence in executive business education, doubling its representation in the ranking year-on-year.”
"The results see the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore boasting India’s best Executive MBA programme. It climbs two positions to place 41st globally and eighth in Asia Pacific, thanks to its exceptional reputation among international employers and outstanding career outcomes,” reads the QS release.
The Indian School of Business (ISB), which held the second position for the best executive MBA programme in India, dropped from the 100th rank to the 101-110 range this year. Meanwhile, IIM Kozhikode improved its position from being above 181 last year to the 171-180 range in the list of top institutes offering executive MBA programs.

New entrants to the rankings include the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad, IIM Indore, and Woxsen School of Business. IMT Ghaziabad also landed in the 171-180 range, while IIM Indore and Woxsen School of Business were ranked in the 181+ category.
Oxford (Said) has been ranked as the best business school in the world for studying an executive MBA this year. The UK institution is followed in the rankings by IESE Business School and HEC Paris in second and third respectively.
The rest of the top 10 business schools for studying an executive MBA are MIT (Sloan), London Business School, Penn (Wharton), Northwestern (Kellogg), Yale School of Management, INSEAD and IE Business School.
