NMC Notifies NEET UG 2024 Syllabus, Exam To Be Held On May 5

NTA will be conducting the medical undergraduate entrance exam on May 5, 2023.

The Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the syllabus for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024.  Candidates can review and download the NEET UG 2024 syllabus on the official NMC website at nmc.org.in. “It is notified to all the stakeholders, especially to the aspiring candidates that the Under Graduate Medical Education Board, an autonomous body under the National Medical Commission has finalised the NEET UG 2024 syllabus,” said NMC in an official notice.

The commission has mentioned that the syllabus has been made available on their website for reference purposes. They have advised students to use this "updated" syllabus for their preparation for NEET 2024 and for creating study materials.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has scheduled the medical undergraduate entrance exam for May 5, 2023. Considering the exam date, it is expected that NTA will soon release important details about the NEET UG 2024 application process, along with the official notification. Once the NEET UG 2024 registration form becomes available, candidates will need to visit the official website at neet.nta.nic.in to complete the registration.

In the year 2023, a total of 20,87,449 candidates registered for the NEET UG exam, which was conducted on May 7. NTA reported a high attendance rate of 97.7%, and a re-exam was organised for nearly 8,700 candidates. Out of these, a total of 11,45,976 candidates successfully qualified for the exam. Uttar Pradesh had the highest number of qualifiers with 139,961, followed by Maharashtra with 131,008 candidates.

NEET UG Exam 2024 Registration: How To Apply?

Once the application window is activated, candidates can apply by following these simple steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website: neet.nta.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on: NEET UG Registration.

Step 3: A new page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4: Complete the registration and login.

Step 5: Now, fill the NEET UG application form. 

Step 6: Upload the documents and pay the application fee.

Step 7: Submit the NEET application form.

Step 8: Download the confirmation page and take a printout for future reference.
