NLU Meghalaya Admission 2023: Application Process For UG, PG Programmes To Begin Tomorrow

Candidates interested in UG and PG programmes at the NLU Meghalaya will be able to submit their applications for the same on nlumeg.ac.in, from tomorrow, April 28 onwards.

The National Law University, Meghalaya will start accepting applications for admissions into its various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2023-24, from tomorrow, April 28, 2023. Candidates interested in seeking admission into BA L.L.B, BS L.L.B, and BBA L.L.B, and L.L.M can apply for NLU Admission 203. Candidates will be able to submit their registration cum application forms online on the official website - nlumeg.ac.in.

Earlier on April 24, 2023, the NLU Meghalaya released an official notification announcing the application timeline for admissions into various courses at the institute. "Details of admission with instructions can be accessed in the University website nlumeg.ac.in and High Court of Meghalaya website meghalayahighcourt.nic.in. Online admission form will open from 28.04.2023 to 21.05.2023. Please check this space," reads the official notice.

NLU Meghalaya Admissions 2023: Eligibility Criteria

For admissions into the undergraduate courses at the NLU Meghalaya, candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination from a recognized board with an aggregate of 65% are eligible to apply. Those who have appeared for their 10+2 examinations and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. For the LLM programme at the university, candidates who have completed their L.L.B course from a recognized university with an aggregate of 65% can apply. Importantly, candidates opting for undergraduate programmes at the NLU Meghalaya can also opt for Double Majors, Double Minors and Major & Minors. 

NLU Meghalaya Admissions 2023: Application Fee

While applying for NLU Meghalaya Admissions 2023, candidates will be required to fill the application form online on the official website with all required documents and also submit a SOP (Statement of Purpose) in not more than 500 words. The application fee for students from Meghalaya is Rs 1,500, while that for all other candidates is Rs 3,000.

NLU Meghalaya Admissions 2023: Selection Process

The shortlisting of candidates for admissions into the undergraduate programmes will be done through a written test - NLU Meg Undergraduate Admission Test (MEG UAT). Candidates for admissions into the  L.L.M programme will be required to appear for the Meg-PAT (Postgraduate Admission Test), followed by an interview. The entrance tests would be held in Shillong, Guwahati, Kolkata, Tura, and Delhi.
