India’s premier design college, the NID (National Institute of Design) has extended the registration deadline for NID DAT 2023. Candidates looking forward to enroll into B.Des and M.Des degree courses in Ahmedabad can apply for NID DAT 2023 up to December 22, 2022. Previously, the last date to apply was on December 16, 2022. Applications are to be submitted in the online mode only on the official NID website - admissions.nid.edu. However, candidates can also submit their NID DAT 2023 Application Forms from December 22 to December 25, 2022 with a late fee of INR 1,500. 

While filling the NID DAT 2023 Application Form, candidates will be required to first register on the portal, fill the online application form, upload relevant documents and paying the online application fee. The NID DAT 2023 Application Fee is INR 3,000 for all candidates except SC/ST/PwD candidates. The application fee for SC/CT/PwD candidates is INR 1,500. 

Notably, the National Institute of Design (NID) conducts the NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) every year for admissions into its B.Des and M.Des courses. The Design Aptitude Test is a two stage selection process where candidates first need to undergo the DAT Prelims Test, and those who qualify in the prelims test move forward to the next DAT Mains Test. The DAT Mains basically comprises a Studio Test. However, candidates seeking admissions into NID’s M.Des course also need to appear for the personal interview round. 

The NID DAT 2023 Prelims Exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 8, 2023. Candidates who have successfully registered for the NID DAT 2023 will be able to download their admit cards online on admissions.nid.edu from January 2 onwards. The release of NID DAT Prelims 2023 Results shall be announced soon on the official website soon after the exam. The dates of the DAT Mains, Personal Interviews and Final Merit List shall be notified accordingly. For more details and latest updates, candidates are advised to visit the NID website regularly.

• Visit the official NID website - admissions.nid.edu
• On the homepage, click on the ‘Admissions’ link under the ‘Quick Links’ tab
• In the new page click on “Signup”
• In the new page that opens, select the course you’re applying for; B.Des or M.Des, your category and nationality
• Fill the registration form with your basic details, select a password, check the acknowledgement box, and submit the form
• Login to the portal again using your email, date of birth, and password
• Fill the application form completely
• Upload relevant documents, an pay the application fee online
• Submit the NID DAT 2023 Application Form
• Download and save the confirmation page for future reference
