NEST 2024 Registrations To Begin From March 30, Exam On June 30

The NEST Exam is held every year to shortlist candidates for 5-year Integrated M.Sc admissions.

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), are slated to start inviting applications for the NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) 2024 from March 30, 2024. As per the schedule hosted on the official website, the NEST 2024 Exam is scheduled to be held on June 30, 2024. Registered candidates can expect to download the NEST 2024 Admit Card from June 15, 2024 onwards. 

Candidates may note that the registration-cum-application process for the NEST 2024 Exam is slated to conclude on May 31, 2024. The exam is conducted every year at the annual level to shortlist suitable candidates for admissions into 5-year Integrated M.Sc programmes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics at the National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar, and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM–DAE CEBS), Mumbai.

The NEST exam paper ideally consists of questions distributed across four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology where each of these sections carry 50 marks. The final merit list of shortlisted candidates is prepared by considering the best score of each candidate in the top three sections attempted. As per the official schedule, the NEST 2024 Results are scheduled to be published on July 10, 2024. For details on the exams, interested candidates are advised to visit the official website.

Once the application process for NEST 2024 Exam begins, candidates will be able to apply for the examination following the below mentioned steps: 

  • Visit the official website - nestexam.in
  • On the homepage, click on the NEST 2024 Registration link
  • Register using your basic details
  • Fill in the application form with all required details
  • Upload all relevant documents in the prescribed format
  • Pay the application fee online
  • Submit the application form
  • Download the application confirmation page for future reference
