NEP 2020: PM Modi To Talk About Reforms In School Education In 'Shiksha Parv' Conclave Tomorrow

Being the guiding force of National Education Policy 2020, PM Narendra Modi has been vocally supporting the NEP 2020 reforms.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to address a conclave on "School Education in 21st Century" under the National Education Policy-2020 (NEP-2020) on Friday. ALSO READ | IIT JAM 2021 Registrations Begin Today; Check Steps To Apply Online At jam.iisc.ac.in The conclave will be held virtually through video-conference. The Ministry of Education has organised the two-day conclave, which started on Thursday, as a part of the "Shiksha Parv", the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a statement. The "Shiksha Parv" (education fest) is being celebrated from September 8-25 to honour teachers and take the new National Education Policy ahead. Several webinars, virtual conferences and conclaves on different aspects of the NEP are being organised across the country, the PMO said. On August 7, Prime Minister Modi had delivered the inaugural address at the "Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under NEP-2020" and also spoke at the "Governors' Conference" on this policy on September 7. WATCH | PM Modi at Governor's conference on NEP: This is country's policy & not of govt The NEP 2020 came to be with the Prime Minister's approval and as per Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, he has been the guiding force for it and hence the PM can be seen vocally supporting the new reform as he speaks to the stakeholders, laying emphasis on its features and supporting consultations to clarify everyone's concerns. The NEP-2020 has been announced 34 years after the previous National Policy on Education in 1986 was implemented. The NEP-2020 aims to introduce major reforms at both the school and higher education levels in India.
