NCERT Textbooks Now Available On Amazon India For Kindergarten To Class 12 Students

NCERT Books On Amazon: NCERT has partnered with Amazon India to facilitate the sale of NCERT books and expand its availability across the country.

New Delhi: NCERT textbooks for students from Kindergarten to Class 12, as well as for UPSC aspirants, will now be available on Amazon India, sold by authorized sellers, the e-commerce platform announced on Monday.

Amazon India has partnered with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to facilitate the sale of textbooks at maximum retail price (MRP) across all serviceable pin codes in India, as reported by news agency PTI.

Through this collaboration, Amazon aims to expand the availability of textbooks for students from Kindergarten to Class 12 and UPSC aspirants via the Amazon.in platform.

In addition to serving individual buyers, Amazon will also support bulk orders for government agencies and schools in collaboration with NCERT.

"NCERT has appointed designated distribution vendors to work with sellers on Amazon.in to ensure timely and efficient deliveries," according to the statement.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan hailed the collaboration between NCERT and Amazon India as a step towards providing students and educators with genuine, affordable resources. He emphasized that the initiative will not only assist in students' academic progress but also improve their overall ease of living.

"By making NCERT textbooks accessible through Amazon.in, we are empowering millions of students across India to pursue their education with greater ease and convenience," Pradhan said.

Notably, Students from class 1 to 12 can also download the textbooks from the official website of the National Council of Educational Research & Training at ncert.nic.in.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organisation set up in 1961 by the Government of India to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes for qualitative improvement in school education.

The major objectives of NCERT and its constituent units are to: undertake, promote and coordinate research in areas related to school education; prepare and publish model textbooks, supplementary material, newsletters, journals and develops educational kits, multimedia digital materials, etc.
