State Bank Of India Issues Warning Against Fake Selection Lists

SBI has issued a notification warning applicants about fraudulent websites that are circulating fake selection lists.

The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued a notification warning applicants about fraudulent websites that are circulating fake lists of selected candidates for bank appointments. The bank explicitly stated that it never releases the names of shortlisted candidates. To ensure the legitimacy of any communication, applicants are strongly advised to cross-verify information using the websites specified in the official notification. As per the notification from SBI, there are reports suggesting that some individuals involved in fraudulent activities have created websites resembling the official SBI sites.

SBI clarified that it exclusively publishes the roll numbers and registration numbers of selected candidates for any post. Shortlisted candidates receive individual notifications through SMS, email, or post. All pertinent recruitment details, including notices, interview schedules, and final results, are solely available on the official SBI website.

In a notice, the State Bank of India said, "It has been reported to us that some fraudsters have hosted websites making them appear to be as those of State Bank of India (SBI). Fake lists of selection for posts in SBI have been published on these websites and reportedly fake appointment letters are also being issued in the name of SBI. It is clarified that SBI never publishes the names of shortlisted/selected candidates on the website. Only roll numbers/registration numbers are published and shortlisted/selected candidates are informed individually through SMS/Email/Post. All details regarding recruitment e.g. notice, interview schedule, final result etc., are published only on www.sbi.co.in/careers and bank.sbi/careers."

"If any such communication is received, it should be cross-verified for authenticity from the websites mentioned above," the SBI added.
