JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for JEE Main, candidates are required to clear class 12th or any equivalent examination from a recognized board. The candidates should also have studied 5 studies in the qualifying examination including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exams can also apply for JEE Main.

75 Percent Eligibility Criteria To Be Relaxed

The top 20 percentile students of each education board will now be eligible to seek admission in IITs and NITs and appear for JEE Advanced even if they haven't scored 75 percent marks in class 12, according to Ministry of Education sources.

The decision comes against the backdrop of constant demands for relaxing the eligibility criteria for JEE (Advanced), which requires at least 75 percent marks in aggregate in the class 12 examination conducted by the respective education boards.
