JEE Advanced 2019: Registration extended by 5 days for Odisha students in aftermath of cyclone Fani

The students of Odisha who were listed amongst the top 245K can now register for JEE Advanced 2019 till Tuesday, 14th May 2019.

JEE Advanced 2019: The online registration for JEE Advanced 2019 is scheduled to conclude on 9th May 2019. However, students of Odisha have got an extension of 5 days to register for the same. The students of Odisha who were listed amongst the top 245K can now register for JEE Advanced 2019 till Tuesday, 14th May 2019, to submit their applications for the coveted entrance exam that’ll open the gateways of the prestigious IITs for these all India JEE Main toppers. The National Testing Agency had announced the results of JEE Main 2019 last week, and the top 2,45,000 students were declared eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2019 exam. However, with normal life ruptured by Cyclone Fani, the power supply and internet services have been disrupted in the state of Odisha. Announcing the extension of registration date for JEE Advanced, MHRD Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar took to Twitter this afternoon and wrote, “I am happy to announce that students from #Odisha appearing for #JEE (Advanced) 2019 will get an extension of 5 days till May 14 for their registration. A decision to this effect was taken following the request of #Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik @Naveen_Odisha . @PMOIndia @HRDMinistry”

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee is scheduled to organize the JEE Advanced 2019 exam on 27th May 2019, this month. The national level exam was postponed from the original exam date of 19th May 2019 due to the last phase of General Elections 2019.
