Both boards have distinct features, such as the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Parents must be aware of the admission process, their characteristics and differences to make an informed decision about their child's education.

ICSE and CBSE are two of India's most prominent education boards with similar subjects. ICSE, managed by the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), is a prestigious and comprehensive board that conducts the ICSE examination at the end of the 10th class. Its syllabus is more intricate than CBSE, making the 10th and 12th board exams the toughest.

CBSE, on the other hand, is a primary board that follows the national curriculum and conducts national-level exams for admissions to engineering and medical courses at the undergraduate level.
