IB recruitment 2018: The Intelligence Bureau (IB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced a recruitment process to appoint as many as 1,054 candidates for Security Assistant/Executive posts. Candidate can apply on MHA’s website, mha.gov.in or NCS portal ncs.gov.in. The notification invites all the interested and eligible candidates to apply on or before November 10. Those selected will be appointed in the various subsidiary of the Intelligence Bureau and would be eligible for a pay under the 7th Pay Commission. More details are as follows: Name of the department: Intelligence Bureau (IB) Name of the ministry: Ministry of Home Affairs Name of the post: Security Assistant/Executive posts Number of the posts: 1,054 candidates Official website: ncs.gov.in Last date to apply: November 10, 2018 Starting date to apply: October 20, 2018 Eligibility Criteria: Education qualification • The candidates need to matriculate or class 10 pass from a recognised board/university • The applicant should also have knowledge of any of the local languages as mentioned in the official advertisement for the recruitment • Field experience in Intelligence work is desirable for the post Age limit • Age limit Not exceeding 27 years • Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & by 3 years for OBC candidates Pay scale Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (PB-1) plus admissible Central Govt. allowances. [Under revision as per the recommendations of 7th C.P.C.] Selection Process: • Tier I: - A written test comprising objective questions will be conducted - It will be divided into four marks containing questions of one mark each on General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitute, Logical/Analytical Ability, English Language • Tier II: - A descriptive test and spoken ability test will be conducted - It will be assessed at the time of personal interview - It will include translation of a passage of 500 words from local language/dialect to English and vice versa • Tier III: - Interview or personality test will be conducted
