The Himachal Pradesh State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) has extended the registration deadline for the NMMSS (National MeansCum Merit Scholarship Scheme) Examination 2023. Interested candidates can now apply for the Himachal Pradesh NMMSS Examination 2023 till September 25, 2023, on the official website - nmcme.examtime.co.in. Following the submission of Himachal Pradesh NMMSS applications by candidates, respective school principals shall verify the applications and details submitted by candidates, till September 25, 2023.

Notably, as per the official schedule, the Himachal Pradesh SCERT will conduct the Himachal Pradesh NMMSS Examination 2023 on November 26, 2023. The exam shall be conducted for students of all government schools in Himachal Pradesh. Candidates who are currently studying in Class 8 are eligible to apply and appear for the Himachal Pradesh NMMSS Exam 2023. However, only those students with a family income of less than 3.5 lakh shall be eligible to apply for the exam.

Notably, under its NMMSS scheme, the Himachal Pradesh SCERT provides a monthly aid of Rs 1,000 to 832 shortlisted candidates. The shortlisting of candidates is done based on their performance in the scholarship exam.

Those registered and candidates interested in the NMMSS Scholarship 2023 may note that the HP NMMSS 2023 exam shall consist of two sets: MAT (Mental ABility Test) and SAT (Scholastic Ability Test). Each of the tests shall consist of 90 total questions and a time limit of 90 minutes each. The NMMSS Exam 2023 shal be held across 57 exam centres across the state.
