GATE 2024 Registration To Start Tomorrow, Here's Steps To Apply

GATE 2024 Registration window will be activated on the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

The registration portal for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 is expected to open tomorrow, August 30. Interested candidates can submit their applications for the exam at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, the organizing institute for GATE, has provided this update on the official exam website. Candidates may also note that following the closure of the GATE 2024 application window, the IISC Bangalore will also host the GASTE 2024 Application Correction Window on the official website.

Eligibility criteria for GATE 2024 include candidates in their 3rd year or beyond of any undergraduate program or holding degrees in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, or Humanities. These degrees need to be recognised by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to BE/BTech/BArch/BPlanning, etc.

Individuals with foreign qualifications should either be in their 3rd year or later or possess a minimum three-year degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, or Humanities. The GATE 2024 exam is scheduled for February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. Admit cards for the exam will be released by January 3, 2024, while the GATE 2024 Results are scheduled to be released by March 16, 2023.

GATE 2024 Registration: Steps To Apply

  • Visit the official website - gate2024.iisc.ac.in
  • On the homepage, click on the link to apply for GATE 2024 
  • Register online and fill in the application form
  • Upload relevant documents and pay the application fee online
  • Submit the application form
  • Download the application confirmation page for reference

Application fees for GATE 2024 are ₹900 for Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates during the regular period and ₹1,400 during the extended period. For other candidates, the fee is ₹1,800 for the regular period and ₹2,300 during the extended period.

It's important for candidates to be aware that the GATE 2024 Exams, organized by IISC Bangalore, will exclusively take place at examination centers within India. For the year 2024, the international exam centers for the GATE Exam have been removed.
