GATE 2024: IISc Asks Applicants To Correct Defective Application, Photo And Signature

IISc Bangalore has asked candidates appearing for the GATE 2024 to rectify any flaws in their applications.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has asked candidates appearing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) to rectify any flaws in their applications. Applicants can make necessary edits to their GATE 2024 application forms via the official websites at gate2024.iisc.ac.in or goaps.iisc.ac.in. “Candidates whose applications are marked defective are advised to login to GOAPS and attend to the defects immediately so that we can take their application to the next stage! Please be aware that if the defects are not corrected, Admit Cards may not be issued to such candidates,” the institute said.

According to the timetable, the link to download the GATE 2024 admit card will be activated starting January 3. The examination is scheduled for February 3, 4, 10, and 11.

GATE 2024 Photo, Signature Size

GATE 2024, candidates are required to adhere to specific guidelines concerning the size and format of their uploaded photograph and signature. Here are the specifications:

Photograph:

  • The photo should be high-quality, measuring 3.5 cm in width and 4.5 cm in height.
  • The background of the photograph should be white.
  • Avoid wearing caps, sunglasses, or other accessories in the photo.
  • Upload the image in JPEG or JPG format with an aspect ratio between 0.66 and 0.89.
  • Ensure the image resolution ranges from a minimum of 200 x 260 pixels to a maximum of 530 x 690 pixels.
  • The file size must be between 5 kB and 1 MB.

Signature:

  • Upload the signature in JPEG or JPG format with an aspect ratio between 2.75 and 3.75.
  • Use black or dark blue ink for the signature.
  • The signature image should have a minimum resolution of 250 x 80 pixels and a maximum resolution of 580 x 180 pixels.
  • The file size for the signature should be between 3 kB and 1 MB.

Candidates are advised to strictly adhere to these specifications when uploading their photographs and signatures for GATE 2024.
