DU Admissions 2019: The University of Delhi is all set to commence the Delhi University UG Admissions 2019 today
DU Admissions 2019: The University of Delhi is all set to commence the Delhi University UG Admissions 2019 today i.e. from Thursday, 30th May 2019 onwards. The ‘Admissions 2019’ tab for students to apply for various courses has been placed on Delhi University’s official website - du.ac.in. For admissions to Postgraduate courses, candidates need to wait until Monday, 3rd June 2019, next week.
DU Admissions 2019 process will be held in completely online mode. The admissions to undergraduate courses will be either merit-based or entrance exam based. DU is expected to release the entrance exam schedule for entrance-based courses shortly on its official website, while the cut-off for merit-based admissions will be released in due course of time.
Candidates must note that for merit-based admissions, they must follow the DU Cut-off lists for various colleges and appear for Verification of Documents and get Approval of Admission for the cut-off they’ll meet. Once they get the approval, candidates will be required to pay the Admission Fee via their Login on DU’s undergraduate admissions portal, before 12 noon of last day of the applicable cut-off.
On the other hand, for entrance-based courses, DU will release the rank lists for various courses based on which students need to follow the further admissions process.
Candidates keen on pursuing bachelor’s degree course with the University of Delhi and its constituent colleges must keep a close tab on the official website to submit their application once the window is made available.
The schedule for Delhi University Open Days 2019 will also be shared online. Parents and students can visit the DU Campus during Open Days to know the admissions process in detail.
There are approximately 56000 seats for Undergraduate courses in nearly 79 constituent colleges of DU. The number of seats is expected to go up by 10% this year for EWS Quota, while 15% more seats will be added by 2020. On a similar note, the varsity plans to introduce scholarships for students facing financial crunch due to death of the main earning member of family or unemployed parents or whose both parents have deceased.
