CUET UG 2024: Here's Everything You Need To Know About This Entrance Test

The CUET-UG is a national-level entrance conducted by the NTA every year to shortlist suitable candidates for admission into Undergraduate (UG) programmes offered by Central Universities and several other participating universities (State, Private, Deemed, and other government institutions). In total, more than 250 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) accept CUET-UG Scores for undergraduate admissions.

Exam Mode For CUET UG 2024
Previously the CUET UG exam was a fully computer-based test or CBT. However, from this year onwards the exam would be conducted in hybrid mode i.e. for some subjects the exam would be conducted in pen and paper mode, while for others, the exam would be a CBT exam. The subjects for which pen and paper mode exam would be conducted would be declared by the NTA at a later date.
Single Day CUET UG 2024 Exam
This is perhaps one of the biggest changes in the CUET UG 2024 compared to 2023. The NTA plans to conduct exams for most of the subjects on a single day, thereby eliminating the need for normalisation of scores across shifts. This will definitely help ease out some anxiety in the students mind during the entire process.

Addition Of New Languages In CUET UG 2024
The CUET UG conducted a language exam for 13 languages in 2023. However, in CUET UG 2024, there has been an addition of 20 more languages for which the exam can be written. The full list of language subjects is as follows:

Application Fees For CUET UG 2024
There has been an increase in the application fees for the CUET UG 2024. The revised fees is as below:

Centres For CUET UG 2024
The number of centres for CUET UG 2024 will be 380 in total. Out of these 354 are in India while 26 are based out of various countries such as Canada, UAE, Nepal, USA etc. A candidate at the time of filling the form would need to select 4 cities of their choice for the exam. The NTA typically tries to allot within these 4 choices but sometimes due to constraints a different city can also be allocated.
