CSIR UGC NET December 2023: Answer Key Challenge Window Closes Today On csirnet.nta.ac.in

Candidates will be required to pay a processing fee of Rs 200 for challenges/ objections raised per question against the CSIR UGC NET December 2023 Provisional Answer Key.

Attention candidates! The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the answer key challenge for the CSIR UGC NET December 2023 today, January 8, 2024. Candidates who appeared for the NTA CSIR UGC and face discrepancies with the provisional answer key of the exam can raise objections/ challenge the answer key through the official website - csirnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates will be required to login to the portal using their credentials to challenge the answer key. Moreover, candidates will also have to pay a processing fee of Rs 200 for challenges/ objections made per question. 

Notably, the NTA released the CSIR UGC NET December 2023 Provisional Answer Key on December 6, 2023, and invited objections/challenges from candidates on the same till January 8, 2024, today. Following the closure of the answer key challenge window, the challenges submitted candidates shall be reviewed by experts and the CSIR UGC NET Final Answer Key shall be released accordingly. The evaluation of candidates in the exam shall be done based on the final answer key itself. 

Earlier, the NTA conducted the CSIR UGC NET December 2023 Exam on December 26, 27, and 28, 2023. Over 2,19,000 candidates reportedly appeared for the exam. The exam was conducted for a total of five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences, where the medium of the exam was bilingual with Hindi and English, both as the medium of the exam. 

Notably, the Joint CSIR UGC NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC.   • Visit the official website - csirnet.nta.ac.in
  • On the homepage, click on the link to challenge the answer key
  • In the new page that opens, login using your credentials
  • In the new page that opens, click on the link to View/ Challenge answer key
  • The UGC NET December 2023 Provisional Answer Key shall now be displayed on your screen
  • Click on the question ID you wish to challenge
  • Submit your challenge and save your claims
  • Upload supporting documents
  • Pay the processing fee and submit
