CBSE Class 10th Results 2019: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 10 results this afternoon, registering an All India Pass Percentage of 91.10%. While the national pass percent is optimally up by 4.4% from last year’s 86.70%, another remarkable highlight of today’s results is the pass percentage of Children With Special Needs (CWSN) and Transgender students. Crossing the national average of 91.10%, the CWSN aka differently-abled students achieved a pass percentage of 95.99% while transgender students registered a pass percentage of 94.74%. Dilwin Prince from the CWSN category bagged the top spot by scoring 493 out of 500 marks. Savan Vishoy and Irene Tresa Mathews followed closely at spot 2 and 3 respectively with 492/500 and 491/500 marks. All three toppers are from the top region of the country – Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. A total of 5352 students had registered under the CWSN category this year. 5233 differently-abled students appeared for the CBSE Class 10th Exams 2019, out of which, 5023 CWSN students were declared pass today. These Children With Special Needs (CWSN) have achieved a pass percentage of 95.99% in 2019, improving year on year with 92.55% in 2018 from 89.40% in 2017. 48 more CWSN students have scored 95% and above marks, while a total of 275 obtained 90% and above. Today’s result proves that the quest for learning is not hindered by any physical or mental impairment, and reminds the words of Helen Keller, “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” CBSE 10th Results: Differently-abled, transgender students create record; Dilwin Prince tops in CWSN category In a new feat, the Transgender students have turned around the numbers completely as compared to the last year. Improving by a staggering 11.41% from 83.33% in 2018 to 94.74% in 2019, the transgender students have surpassed girls this year, who’ve outshone boys on the other hand. While girls students have recorded a pass percentage of 92.45%, boys trailed behind at 90.14%. Back in the year 2016, not even a single student had registered as Transgender for CBSE Class 10th Exams. Here’s a look at the pass percentages of Transgender students in the past three years: CBSE 10th Results: Differently-abled, transgender students create record; Dilwin Prince tops in CWSN category
