BHU Admission 2024: Final Chance For PG Admissions, UG Third Round Seat Allocation Begins

BHU Admission 2024: Those who want to get admission to a PG course still have a chance.

The admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is underway. Students who have not yet secured admission may also get another chance for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The seat allocation process for the third round of undergraduate courses at BHU is set to begin today, August 27. Additionally, students seeking postgraduate admission may have a final opportunity on September 3 and 4.

Third Round Seat Allocation Process Begins

BHU administration told ABP Live that the admission process for undergraduate courses is ongoing based on CUET results. Students can select their courses for the third round of seat allocation. The fee payment deadline is August 30 (11:59 PM). Moreover, it was also informed that if seats remain vacant after the third round of seat allocation, remaining students will be given an opportunity based on merit.

Final Chance For Postgraduate Admissions

So far, three rounds of counselling have been conducted for postgraduate courses at Banaras Hindu University. However, students are being given another chance to secure admission. Admission to postgraduate courses will be granted through a mop-up round based on merit. The university's website will provide information about vacant seats for the mop-up round allotment by 6:00 PM on August 29.

After this, students must contact the designated center/department on September 3 and 4. The list of selected students will be released on September 5, and the fee link will be provided on the student portal on September 6 after seat allotment. Students must pay the fee within 48 hours of seat allotment.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) offers a diverse array of courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, spanning various disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, technology, medical sciences, fine arts, and performing arts. Admission to BHU's courses is determined by merit in the CUET-UG and CUET-PG exams, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
