GATE 2025 Registration: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has begun the registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 today, August 28. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official GATE 2025 website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The last date to register is September 26. The GATE 2025 registration process involves filling out the application form, uploading the required documents, selecting two GATE papers and three preferred examination cities, and submitting the application fee. Those who are interested in applying for GATE 2025  exam, must check the brochure before applying.

IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 for admission to master's programmes at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, and other participating institutions. 

GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Students currently in the third year or higher of any undergraduate programme, or those who have completed a government-approved degree in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, or humanities, are eligible to apply for GATE 2025. Additionally, students pursuing an undergraduate degree from institutions outside India are also eligible.

GATE 2025 Application Fee

The application fee varies depending on the candidate category and submission period:

Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. 

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the registration link.

Step 3: Enter the required details in the application form.

Step 4: Upload the required documents.

Step 5: Pay the application fee.

Step 6: Submit the application form and download the confirmation page.

The following documents are required for GATE 2025 registration:

- A high-quality photograph of the candidate.

- A high-quality signature of the candidate.

- Scanned copy of the caste certificate in PDF format, if applicable.

- Scanned copy of the PwD certificate in PDF format, if applicable.

- Scanned copy of a valid photo ID in PDF format from one of the following: Aadhaar-UID, passport, PAN card, voter ID, or driving license.
