AFCAT Registration 2024: The Indian Air Force, IAF has released a detailed notification regarding the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) today, May 20, 2024. According to the notification, the IAF AFCAT 2024 registration process will begin on May 30, 2024. Interested candidates are advised to apply for IAF AFCAT 2024 exam through the official websites at careerindianairforce.cdac.in and afcat.cdac.in. Indian Air Force (IAF) will conduct three stages: Written Test, AFSB Interview, and Medical Examination to shortlist eligible candidates through the AFCAT 2024 exam. Candidates must note that the last date to apply for the AFCAT 2024 examination is June 28, 2024.

AFCAT 2024 has 304 vacancies, including Short Service Commission (SSC) positions in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty branches, covering both Technical and Non-Technical roles. Candidates who clear the AFSB interview will have a medical exam. The medical examination is conducted at specific centers: the Institute of Aviation Medicine in Bengaluru and the Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME).

AFCAT Exam Pattern

The AFCAT exam 2024 consists of four sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test. The exam will be of a duration of two hours. The AFCAT exam will include 100 questions and will be worth 300 marks.

AFCAT 2024 Educational Qualification 

For the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Non-technical) positions, aspirants should have attained a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, along with a three-year graduation degree or a BE/BTech degree with at least 60% from a recognized university.

For the Ground Duty (Technical) Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) positions, candidates need at least 60% in Physics and Mathematics in their class 12th exams. Candidates must also have a degree in engineering or technology from a recognized university.
