Should PM Be Educated?: Fresh Anti-Modi Posters Surface In Delhi Days After Crackdown

Allegedly in some parts of Delhi, blue posters were seen on walls, pillars, and roadsides with the caption, "Kya Bharat ke Pradhan Mantri Padhe-Likhe Hone Chahiye?"

New posters questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi's educational qualification surfaced at several places in the national capital on Thursday.

Allegedly in some parts of Delhi, blue posters were seen on walls, pillars, and roadsides with the caption, "Kya Bharat ke Pradhan Mantri Padhe-Likhe Hone Chahiye?"

These blue posters surfaced a day after Aam Aadmi Party released 'Modi Hatao Desh Bachao' posters in 11 different languages in Delhi. Apart from Hindi, Urdu, English, and Punjabi, the posters had also been released in languages like Gujarati, Telugu, Bengali, Oriya, Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi, reported news agency ANI.

AAP state convenor Gopal Rai on March 23 announced at a party meeting that from today, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will put up posters with the caption "Modi Hatao Desh Bachao" across the nation. AAP on March 23 held a big public meeting under the slogan "Modi Hatao Desh Bachao" at Jantar Mantar. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Man address the meeting.

The BJP retaliated by putting posters with the words "Kejriwal Hatao, Delhi Bachao" (remove Kejriwal, save Delhi) across the national capital.

Earlier on March 22, Special CP Deependra Pathak while talking to ANI said that the Delhi Police has registered over 100 FIRs and six people were arrested for objectionable posters including those against PM Narendra Modi across the city.

Delhi Police earlier in the month said that FIR had been registered in various districts of the city under sections of the Printing Press Act and Defacement of Property Act.

The Special CP said that a van was also intercepted as soon as it left the AAP office. Police arrested a few people and seized posters from them.

Post the arrests, the Delhi CM took a jibe at the Centre over the action by the Delhi Police against persons, who got arrested for allegedly putting up objectionable posters on Prime Minister Modi across the city.

Kejwial in a press briefing, said, "Why is PM Modi so scared? Why is he so insecure? This is a normal poster anyone can put up such posters in a democracy."
