'Will Support Modi Until Death': Jitan Ram Manjhi Rubbishes Reports Of Quitting NDA Cabinet

Manjhi said some web portals and news channels have been propagating/broadcasting misleading news that "Jitan Ram Manjhi will resign from the cabinet".

Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi took to social media to clarify that he has no plans to give up his cabinet berth. There were media reports that he was giving up his berth alleging that his Hindustani Awam Morcha was not getting a square deal in the NDA ahead of the Bihar assembly polls due later this year.

In a post on X, Manjhi said he would not cut ties with PM Narendra Modi until his death. "Some web portals and news channels have been propagating/broadcasting misleading news that “Jitan Ram Manjhi will resign from the cabinet"," he said.

"Whereas I had said regarding the delay in the Munger meeting that "You people are delaying me due to which I will miss my flight and will have to leave the cabinet". I want to make it clear to such people that I will never desert Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi till my death. We are all working for the welfare of the country and Bihar but some media houses are trying to divide us at the behest of the opposition," Manji added.

Manjhi Threatens Legal Action Against Media Persons

He also threatened to take legal action against media persons and file a complaint against them in the Press Council.

As per a PTI report, Manjhi during a public meeting on Tuesday said, "We got nothing in Jharkhand and Delhi. It may be said that I did not make any demand. But is it justice? I was overlooked because I had no standing in these states. So we must prove our worth in Bihar."

"If our party returns with a tally of even 20, we will be able to get our demands fulfilled," said the former CM, who insisted that he was not pursuing any personal ambitions but eyeing a better deal for ‘Bhuiyan-Musahar’, a Dalit community to which he belongs.
