Uttar Pradesh Weather: Rain To Continue In State; Check Districts Where Rainfall Will Occur

The monsoon in Uttar Pradesh has once again turned patchy. While some areas are seeing occasional showers, much of the state continues to grapple with hot and humid weather. On July 11, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast heavy rainfall in parts of Bundelkhand, along with thunder and lightning warnings.
Scattered showers, accompanied by thunder, are expected in both western and eastern regions of the state today. The IMD has issued isolated warnings for lightning strikes and heavy rain in some areas. An IMD weather bulletin for July 11-14 read: "Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is very likely at isolated places. Heavy Rain is very likely at isolated places."
Rainfall is likely to intensify across UP on Saturday, with widespread downpours expected. Strong showers are also likely on July 15 and 16 in many parts of the state. There won't be any significant changes in the maximum and minimum temperatures till July 14.
The highest temperature in the state on Wednesday was recorded at 37.5°C in Ballia and the lowest temperature was logged at Najibabad at 23.0°C.
Heavy Rain Alert For These UP Districts
A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain today (July 11) in the following Bundelkhand districts: Lalitpur, Jhansi, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda, and Chitrakoot.
These areas may also experience thunderstorms and lightning.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain is expected at several places in Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, and Sonbhadra
Scattered showers are also likely in Kannauj, Unnao, Amethi, Sultanpur, and Jaunpur.
Light rain at isolated locations is forecast in several other districts, including Hathras, Etah, Mainpuri, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Hardoi, Lucknow, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Chandauli, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shrawasti, Balrampur, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, and Kushinagar.
No weather warning has been issued for these districts, though.
