Udaipur: Bulldozer Action In City After Stabbing Incident Triggers Communal Tensions — WATCH
The property of the accused who stabbed another student at a school in Udaipur was razed by the authorities today. The police have imposed section 144 in the city to maintain law and order.
Udaipur: As communal tensions erupted in Udaipur following the stabbing incident at a government school in Madhuban area on August 16, the district administration demolished the property of the accused involved in the clash at school.

Earlier today, the Municipal Corporation had reached the house of the accused, Ayan Sheikh, in Diwan Shah Ali Colony of Udaipur to clear the building for bulldozer action. Security was also beefed in the area to prevent any further law and order situation.

Ayan Sheikh's Chat With Friend Surfaces Online
Following the detention of the accused, the social media chats of Ayan Sheikh have surfaced online. In the chats, the accused is seen talking to his friend about his plan to attack and kill his classmate. It is being said that this chat is from three days before he allegedly attacked the boy on August 16.
Congress leader Sachin Pilot commented on the Udaipur communal tensions saying that it is always worrisome whenever small incidents become this big.
"We are worried whenever such incidents happen in the state and the country. When small incidents become this big, the government should find the root cause of it...Violence is not the answer to anything. It should be investigated," he said.

Meanwhile, Udaipur Collector Arvind Poswal stated that a team of doctors was flown in on a special plane to treat the injured boy. He added that the boy's condition and the city's law and order situation are now both stable.
"Our priority is treating the boy who was stabbed. On the directions of the Chief Minister (Bhajanlal Sharma), a doctors’ team was brought on a special state plane. His BP, which was at 60 yesterday, has increased to 100. His condition is stable now. Shops have started opening in the city and the law and order situation is much better now," Poswal said.

The internet services in Udaipur have been suspended and section 144 has been imposed to curb the escalating tensions.
The internet was shut in Bedla, Badgaon, Balicha, Debari, Eklingpura, Kanpur, Dhikali, and Bhuwana areas in th city for 24 hours from 10 PM onwards on Friday, Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Bhatt said.
The district admininstration had also declared that all the schools and colleges in the city will remain closed on August 17.
Communal tensions had erupted in Udaipur after a Class 10 student stabbed his classmate oustide their school in Bhattiyani Chohattal. Shortly after, the Hindu outfits gathered to protest against the incident, which eventually escalated into a volatile situation. Police said that the agitated mob pelted stones, set cars ablaze, and even ransacked a shopping mall.
The accused has been detained and the injured student is admitted to a hospital in Udaipur. He is said to be in stable condition.
