Traffic Diverted In Noida As Thousands Gather To Offer Namaz On Eid

Section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) has been enforced across the district till March 31.

Noida Traffic Advisory: The Noida Police have announced traffic diversions on the occasion of Eid on Monday. The diversion is in effect for four hours to ensure smooth traffic flow and accommodate the large number of people offering the morning namaz in mosques. The Noida traffic police have urged commuters to follow the diversion plan between 6 AM and 10 AM.

There is usually heavy vehicle congestion around mosques in the morning and to avoid traffic inconvenience, diversion will be in place at several locations including Gol Chakkar Chowk, Sandeep Paper Mill, Harola Chowk, Bans Balli Market Tiraaha, Sector 8, 10, 11, 12 Chowk, Jhundpura Chowk, Sector 6 Police Chowki Tiraaha, Kasba Kasna at Aichhar Chowk and Dadri Kasba Tiraaha.

Section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) has been enforced across the district till March 31. The district police have identified as many as 241 mosques and 28 hotspots where large public gatherings are expected.

The security measures were put in place keeping in mind the Cheti Chand, the Sindhi New Year and the birth anniversary of Saint Jhulelal, too.

Those who have been deployed for security include seven deputy commissioner of police (DCPs), three additional DCPs, 13 assistant commissioner of police (ACPs), 55 inspectors, 712 sub-inspectors, 65 women sub-inspectors, 1,635 constables, and 427 women constables.
