Madhura Neni Subhash Chander, the Dharma Prasaar State Co-Convener of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), lodged a formal complaint with the police in Telangana against Kaushik Reddy.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy is facing public outrage after filming a social media reel at the revered Yadadri Temple in Telangana. The video, which features Reddy along with his wife and daughter, has sparked a wave of criticism.
Madhura Neni Subhash Chander, the Dharma Prasaar State Co-Convener of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), lodged a formal complaint with the police in Telangana's Sangareddy district, as per a report on India Today. Chander's complaint alleged that Reddy's actions disrespected the sanctity of the temple, which holds deep spiritual significance for millions of devotees.
The video, widely shared on social media, has led to accusations of offending religious sentiments. The VHP, along with the Bajrang Dal, has demanded that Reddy issue a public apology to the Hindu community, stressing that such behavior in sacred spaces cannot be tolerated.
Meanwhile, Chander warned that protests will intensify if he fails to do so. The groups also urged authorities to take steps to safeguard the sanctity of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple and prevent any actions that could harm its reputation.
The controversy erupted after Huzurabad MLA posted reels featuring himself, his wife, and daughter at the temple, which these groups deemed inappropriate.
