What Kareena Kapoor Khan Is Saying About Saif Attack

Saif's wife and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan issued a statement saying: "There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in the hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the police are already doing their investigation."

The statement did not mention the injury to his back.

Police's Theory On Saif Ali Khan Late-Night Attack 

However, the police have a separate theory. Although there is no official statement from the police yet, sources said the cops are probing if the attacker was known to a domestic help at the actors' residence. Police sources said the attacker could have been on the premises for at least two hours before the attack, according to the CCTV footage scanned so far.

The police are likely to record the statement of a maid who was reportedly arguing with the burglar. It was then that Saif Ali Khan intervened and was attacked by the suspect. He sustained six injuries, including a deep cut on his back, in the attack.
