Rain, Strong Wind Hit Delhi As IMD Forecasts Stormy Weekend For NCR, IndiGo Alerts Flyers
Delhi experienced rain with more predicted, including thunderstorms and dust storms. The temperature was lower than average.

Parts of Delhi experienced gusty winds and rain on Saturday, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast cloudy skies with thunder and lightning for the weekend across the National Capital Region (NCR). The weather office has also warned of dust storms accompanied by winds ranging between 40-50 km/h, followed by rain.
According to the IMD, several areas in Delhi witnessed high wind speeds on Saturday evening. Wind gusts reached 46 km/h in Najafgarh, 41 km/h in Narayana, 31 km/h in Pitampura, 56 km/h in Palam, and 48 km/h in Pragati Maidan, mostly recorded between 4:15 pm and 4:30 pm. These weather conditions were attributed to a broader regional disturbance that triggered brief yet intense activity across the NCR.
The IMD said, “A generally cloudy sky is expected on Sunday,” adding that the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 38 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
On Saturday morning, the national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius, which was 5.6 notches below the season’s average. The maximum temperature was recorded at 39.7 degrees Celsius, 0.3 notches below normal.
