‘Bomb Blast To Target PM Modi’: Mumbai Police Receive Threat Message Alleging Plot Involving ‘ISI Agents’

Mumbai Police on Saturday received a WhatsApp message threatening to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an official said. The message, sent to the traffic police helpline in the early hours, mentioned a plot involving two ISI agents to carry out a bomb blast targeting the Prime Minister.
The number was traced to Ajmer in Rajasthan, and a police team was dispatched to apprehend the suspect, news agency PTI reported official as informing. Initial investigations suggest that the sender may either be mentally disturbed or under the influence of alcohol. A First Information Report has been registered under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and further investigation is ongoing.

Union MoS For Defence Gets Ransom Threat Demanding Rs 50 Lakh
In a separate incident, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth reported receiving a ransom threat on Friday, demanding Rs 50 lakh and issuing a life threat. Seth informed the Delhi Police and the Director General of Police (DGP) in Jharkhand.
“Senior officials of Delhi Police, including a DCP, visited me. I have informed them,” said Seth, who represents Ranchi in the Lok Sabha, as quoted by PTI. He added that he was not worried about such threats.
Reacting to the development, Ranchi MLA CP Singh called for a thorough investigation and enhanced security for the Union Minister. “The administration should take this seriously and expose such elements. I also demand proper security for the Union Minister from the state government,” Singh said.
Jharkhand Congress spokesperson Rakesh Sinha termed the incident a serious matter and urged the Union Home Ministry to intervene. “The Union Home Ministry should act promptly on the issue. It should activate its agencies and find out who is behind such an incident,” Sinha remarked.
