9-Yr-Old Girl Injected With Unknown Substance By Stranger At Mumbai School, Probe Launched

A minor girl was allegedly adminsitered an injection with unknown substances at her school on January 31. Following the incident, an investigation was launched by the Mumbai Police based on a complaingt by the parents of the minor girl. The girl is reported to be in stable condition with no adverse effects from the incident.
Five investigative teams have been formed to investigate the matter. The Mumbai Police have accessed the CCTV footage and are reviewing what happened on the day on the school premises. However, no suspicious individuals were observed entering or exiting the school premises, news agency ANI reported.
According to the police complaint, the minor girl said she was injected with an unknown substance by an unidentified man. The incident reportedly does not involve any allegations of physical abuse or molestation.
The girl was reportedly nine-year-old and the incident at a prominent school in Bhandup. The girl was playing in the school ground when an unknown person is said to have approached her. He then allegedly took her to an isolated spot, and injected her with the unidentified substance. The victim informed her teacher about it, following which her parents were notified by the school. She was then rushed to Wadia Hospital for medical tests, Free Press Journal reported.
The authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Further details are likley to emerge as the probe progresses.
Police officials have confirmed that the victim's health remains stable, and that she has not experienced any side effects from the injection which she said was administered to her.
Efforts are on to gather more information about the incident and identify the alleged perpetrator.

Man Arrested For Kidnapping, Raping 15-Yr-Old In UP
Meanwhile, a man was arrested for kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl in Brijmanganj police station in Maharajganj in Uttar Pardesh. The incident took place on January 31.
Additional Superintendent of Police Atish Kumar Singh told news agency PTI that the accused has been identified as 24-year-old man Vijay.
A case was registered against Vijay on the complaint of the minor girl's father under sections of rape, kidnapping and POCSO Act, the Additional SP said. The accused has been sent to jail.
