Massive Blaze Erupts At Ghaziabad Paper Factory, Firefighting Underway

A major fire erupted early Monday morning at a paper factory in Ghaziabad district, sending plumes of smoke and flames shooting into the sky. The incident triggered an immediate response from local fire authorities.
As soon as the fire was reported, multiple fire tenders rushed to the scene and launched dousing operations. Visuals from the spot showed the factory premises engulfed in intense flames, with thick smoke rising from the structure.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported so far. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an official investigation is expected to follow. Firefighting efforts are still underway, and further details are awaited.
One Dead, Five Injured in Explosion at Sivakasi Firecracker Unit in Tamil Nadu
A tragic explosion at a private firecracker manufacturing unit in Vetrilaiyurani village, under Sivakasi taluk, claimed one life and injured five others on Sunday morning. The blast occurred around 8:45 a.m., killing Balagurusamy (50), a worker at the unit. The injured individuals were immediately rushed to a nearby government hospital for treatment.
The X handle of CM Stalin's office posted a letter with a text that says, "The Honorable Chief Minister @mkstalin has announced condolences and financial assistance to the family of the deceased in the explosion that occurred at a private fireworks factory in Vetrilaiyurani village, Sivakasi taluk, Virudhunagar district." And with that announced financial compensation for the dead and injured.
In the wake of the incident, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed his condolences and directed officials to ensure the injured receive advanced medical care without delay. He also announced financial compensation from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund:
- ₹4 lakh for the family of the deceased
- ₹1 lakh each for the seriously injured
- ₹50,000 each for those with minor injuries
Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion and assessing whether any safety regulations were violated.
