Manoj Jha Writes To PM Modi, Urges Him To Convene Special Session Over Pahalgam Attack

Manoj Jha said that during the speacial session of Parliament, the parties would dedicate it to an "open and principled discussion" on the Pahalgam attack and its broader implications for the security

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha on Monday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to convene a special session of Parliament over the Pahalgam terror attack.

The RJD leader said that during the speacial session of Parliament, the parties would dedicate it to an "open and principled discussion" on the Pahalgam attack and its broader implications for the security and well being for the people in the country.

Jha said that such a session would send a powerful message that India's democracy remains resilient and the country's commitment to those affected by violence is unwavering.

Speaking over the issue, Manoj Jha said, "Speaking in one voice on the issue of national security is the need of the hour. When there was a war with China in 1972, even then, a session of Parliament was called. The ruling party and the opposition should speak in one voice against those who tried to attack the idea and thought of Hindustan."
